At its regular meeting on March 18, 2026, the Government decided to dissolve the state-owned limited liability company “Erchist Mongol.”“Erchist Mongol” was established under a Government resolution dated January 8, 2025, with the aim of providing unified management and governance for state-owned enterprises. However, as the structure did not achieve the expected results and created financial pressure, it was deemed appropriate to dissolve the company to prevent further complications.
In particular, “Erchist Mongol” had been financing its operational expenses through commercial bank loans and accumulated liabilities amounting to MNT 3.5 billion, placing it in a financially distressed situation.
The company had exercised shareholder rights on behalf of the state, including representing a 34 percent stake in state-owned companies in the energy sector, as well as state ownership shares in six companies: MIAT State-Owned Joint Stock Company, Mongolian Railway State-Owned JSC, Road Maintenance Corporation State-Owned JSC, Autoimpex JSC, Information Communication Network LLC, and State Housing Corporation LLC.
